'LEDA' , 'Painted Damask' Damask Old Garden Rose introduced in 1827, (zones 4 thru 9, 4'x7'), strongly fragrant it blooms for several weeks in late spring to early summer. If interested contact me.

On Right is 'Rosa mundi' or 'Rosamond' (Rosa gallica versicolor), Gallica Rose introduced before 1581, (zones 4 thru 8, 4'x4'), a sport of the 'Apothecary's Rose' named after Rosamond Clifford; Mistress to King Henry II, fragrant, it blooms for several weeks in late spring to early summer. Above are rooted rose cuttings that I cut from stock plants last year. On July 4, I will cut back each one to 3 leaves and fertilize with Espoma Rose Tone.

'Konigin Von Danemark', 'Queen of Denmark', 'Naissance de Venus', Alba Old Garden Rose introduced in 1826, (zones 4 thru 9, 4 feet x 4 feet), fragrant, it blooms for several weeks in late spring to early summer (check the date in the lower right hand corner of each of these flower closeups to see when the picture was taken). On Left is the 'Souvenir de Philemon Cochet' Hybrid Rugosa Rose, ($30 each in a 7 gallon pot). Introduced in 1900, Hardy in zones 3 through 9, 5 feet tall x 5 feet wide. On Right is 'Tuscany Superb', Hybrid Gallica Rose ($30 each in a 7 gallon pot). Introduced in 1837, non recurrent, 4'X3', sport of 'Tuscany', introduced by Paul in 1848, semi-double flowers of velvety dark red that fades to purple. golden stamens in center. strongly perfumed. On the Left is 'Albertine', Climbing or Wichuranna Rambler Rose introduced around 1921, growing up to 25 feet wide on a trllis, hardy in zone 5 it has pink flowers that have a massive bloom for several weeks in early summer Hardy in zones 6 through 9, 20 feet tall and wide. We dont currently have any for sale but I am taking cuttings in July. On the Right is Low bush blueberries being sent mail order within New York State. I took the plants from their pots, trimmed back the foliage somewhat and removed excess soil. I wrapped the root balls in alluminum foil to retain moisture and because foil is easy to put on, take off and recycle. I send blueberry bushes, Pinxterbloom Azaleas and Superba Lilacs this way. It cost me $15.45 Flat Rate Priority. A heck of a lot cheaper than the gas to get to the plant sale from near Buffalo, NY.

On Left is the 'Comte de Chambord' Portland rose ($30 each in a 7 gallon pot). Old Garden Rose introduced in 1860. Zones 5 thru 9, 4 feet x 4 feet, fragrant. Blooms for us throughout summer in flushes when the faded flowers are regularly pinched off. On Right is species rose Rosa rugosa alba ($30 each in a 7 gallon pot). Rosa Rugosa 'Alba' is a white flowered variant of Rosa rugosa also called the 'Hedgehog Rose' and 'The Japanese Rose', 8 feet tall, hardy in zone 3. flowers all summer. On Left is the 'Sarah Van Fleet' Hybrid Rugosa Rose ($30 each in a 7 gallon pot). Hardy in zones 6 through 9, 8 feet tall x 6 feet wide. On Right is 'Scabrosa' Hybrid Rugosa Rose (own root) available in 7 gallon pots for $30 each. Introduced by Harkness in 1950. (Zones 3 thru 8, 5 feet x 5 feet) shade tolerant, moderately fragrant flowers bloom late spring and throughout summer, reddish gold fall foliage. Check the date the picture was taken noted on the lower right hand side of each picture.

On Left is Pinxterbloom Azalea in 1 gallon pots for $8 each or 3 gallon for $25 each. Though I didn't get the hundred or so I am used to this spring we still have these ten left over from last year. Seedlings germinated from seed collected on the Appalachian Trail. I fill each pot with spruce pine bark mulch and a little faferd potting mix on top with the azalea planted in it. On Right is Syringa microphylla 'Superba' (in 1 gallon pots for $8 each). Often used as a spring flowering hedge where they are planted two feet apart. On Left is 'Four Seasons' Autumn Damask Rose (in 3 gallon pots for $25 each as they flower). When I do an inventory I take pictures of each sign that shows, on a green dot, how many plants of that variety I had for sale as of the date also attached to the sign. Go to the Rose Catalog for the most recent rose inventory.

On Left We have blueberry bushes in 3 gallon pots for $10 each. This year I have the native lowbush 'Aiton' wild blueberry that grows throughout the NE but is particularly famous in Maine and we have the half high blueberry 'Northsky' thats a hybrid between the native high bush and the native low bush blueberries. We also have a few highbush 'bluecrop' left also in 3 gallon pots for $10 each. On Right you can see where my office in the barn is through the Red Door (behind the house). I post my cell phone number on the garage door so you can call me if I am "out to lunch". There is a door bell button between the garage doors.

On Left are locking tag labels hanging from the ceiling in the barn (each has the variety name along with its crop number and date of introduction). When a plant starts to flower and the flower proves the variety I attach a locking Label. We don't sell Roses or Lilacs until they flower or after they have previously flowered proving the variety. On Right is a picture showing a comparison of the pots we grow plants into; 1 gallon, 3 gallon, 7 gallon, 15 gallon and 25 gallon. Another size 45 gallon is really to heavy to sell but instead is used for display only. I usually sell the 7 gallon for $30, the 15 for $50 and the 25 for $100 but the other sizes are negotiable.
