Reload this page in case your computer has it cached as I over write pictures frequently (I change the days date to the current one whenever I edit the page or add new pictures). I take pictures of what we are doing and the plants we grow for my free monthly newsletter. Click on the picture and it may open a larger version with more detail.
HOME PLANT SALE LILACS ROSES NEWS GROW ORDERING CONTACT
twoyearoldssmall.jpg, soldtosmall.jpg (click this image and if you see your name on a plant contact me right away).
On left is the old chicken house that we now use for mist propagation (the building inspector suggested that we repurpose the old chicken house rather than tearing it down and building a greenhouse so we will probably side it with plexiglass in back but leave the structure as is in front for esthetic reasons). On the right is a picture of plants that have been identified and had a "Sold to" sticker attached (if your name is on one of these and you still want the plants you should contact me right away). When I ship plants out I usually send them on a Monday so they should reach their destination by the end of the week (and I'll retake the "sold to" picture so you can see your shipment gone)..

Two year old roses are usually sorted by type (albas, climbers, damasks, gallicas, rugosas, etc). Those types each have a picture that can be taken showing how many we have. They are not for sale until they have flowered proving the variety (we will stick a price label to the side of the pot).

On the left are our one year old roses being grown in the coldframe where we store all our one gallon plants in winter. I hope to get a bit more of the foliage removed from the surrounding trees soon to bring in a bit more sunlight. As two year olds flower I will attach a yellow, individually numbered label and photograph them all together saving them as twoyearolds followed by the days date dot jpg. or the variety name (if the variety name I can add the picture to that varieties individual web page).

Each day that I have flowering 1 gallons I will take a picture and save it as that day. You can click the picture for a larger image to study more closely or save as wallpaper. I will verify the variety and print it on the pot with the paint pen along with the year it was potted. Remember we wont sell them until they are two years old and have previously flowered. If you recognise one you should go ahead and email me about it though it may already be sold or just not old enough.

Superba lilacs were used as a hedge in victorian times, pruning the hedge after it flowers. We will repot these into 1 gallons. Duchess de Montebello as a source of cuttings in a 45 gallon box or maybe cuttings stuck in 1 gallon pots or 2 inch liners.
