'Alberic Barbier' Hybrid Wichurana Rambler Rose introduced in France around 1900, its reputedly hardy in Zones 4 thru 9, can be stretched on a wall or trellis 25 feet x 10 feet, very shade tolerant, mild apple fragrance, blooms for several weeks in early summer. Propagated and grown on their own roots for retail sale at the Flowering Shrub Farm in Voorheesville, NY as shown in my roseraie page.
