On the left are all the rugosas we have left that might be available for sale this year and on the right are the one year old roses from which next years rugosas will be selected from. The variety name is printed on the side of the pot with a paint pen. Each variety has two pictures; one showing a closeup of the flower while the other shows the status of cuttings taken.
Cuttings not yet rooted are stuck 4 in each 1 gallon pot and placed in a ziplock bag (variety name and date stuck is painted with a paint pen on a label attached.
Once the cuttings have rooted we remove them from the bag and take another picture to over-write with in spring but we still may have to divide them each into their own 1 gallon or larger pot.
We can send 2 one gallon potted plants ($15 each) in a large flat rate priority package from the US Post Office across the street for around $20.00 postage as of June 2014.
