Crop 330 is the March inventory at www.floweringshrubfarm.com

When I am preparing to do an inventory I take previous pictures from other months, then overwrite the pictures during the inventory. We don't sell any Lilacs or Roses that have not previously flowered so even though you might see 10 to 50 plants of a variety in the picture, only those that have flowered and had an "OK" painted on the side of the pot, will be for sale (the height of the sale is obviously when they are actually in bloom). In March I will place a colored dot on that varieties sign with the number that has previously flowered marked with a sharpie marker as of a date on a pink label I will also attach to the sign. Blue dot is in a 3 gallon pot, green dot is in a 7 gallon pot, yellow dot is in a 15 gallon and red dot is in a 25 gallon pot. Sometimes the attachment of dots will only occur after they have flowered. Clicking the picture should open a larger image that can be studied more closely.

LILACS 1 - 12, ROSES I will start to overwrite these pictures in March. Reload the page in case your computer has it cached.

1. 'Adelaide Dunbar' (purple) and 'Agincourt Beauty' (purple). Lilacs are sold in a 17 gallon pot for $30, a 15 gallon for $50 or a 25 gallon for $70 or more. Roses are sold in a 3 gallon pot for $10, $15, or $20 based on how long they have been in the pot (we write the year potted on the side of the pot), and after they outgrow the 3 gallon we repot into a 7 gallon, 15 gallon or $25 gallon.

We look for houses that can be rented out and attached 5, 10, or 15 acres that I can grow plants to be brought to the plant sale. My customers enable me to continue to propagate and grow without running out of space. The problem from the customers perspective being that we don't sell any variety that has not proven itself by flowering so we often have plants that are not yet for sale. Each year I take heal cuttings in June, July and August. We also propagate many varieties from ground layers that we may dig up and pot in late summer if they have rooted. In winter most of our plants are outside so we may lose some to winter kill.
